Welcome
Welcome to the website of the Shetland Sheepdog Club of South Australia.
The club’s purpose is to promote the breed in all aspects of performance and to promote responsible pet ownership.
Check out the "news" tab for upcoming events and show schedules.
The contacts page has a number of links to help people connect with both the club and the wider dog community. The Dogs SA website can get you in touch with different clubs for many of the sports that shelties excel at from obedience through to agility, tracking and herding. The Dogzonline website will be helpful if you are looking for registered breeders to add a sheltie to your family. You can also check out the breeder tab. It lists the ANKC registered sheltie breeders in South Australia that are also members of the sheltie club.
The club produces a bi-monthly newsletter called Backchat that is full of upcoming activities, helpful advice and articles of interest. It is available to members. If you would like to join the club, download the membership form on the "contacts" tab.
The club now has a page on Facebook. Join us there for news and to link with other sheltie owners around the state. Hopefully a place where people can link up for play dates or beach walks etc along with news about club happenings. Look for "South Aussie Shelties"
